There are many TEFL schools in Asia wanting EFL teachers so there is a high demand for you now. You can find plenty of work around Asia. The class sizes can vary, but in the private language schools they try and keep the class sizes down to max 12. Local government schools can have up to 50 students in a class, although usually about 20 - 40 in a class is the norm. And then you may get an assistant to join your class to keep things in order.
Schools are often open a maximum of 5 hours a day. Teaching in Asia is rewarding and the students are always willing - culturally they have great respect for teachers. They even have a Teacher's day in most Asian countries, when you can expect to receive gifts from your students, to show their appreciation, and as a sign of respect to you.
Pay is usually high by local standards, and you can live like a king or queen.
You can earn $15,00 an hour in Laos.
Teaching in Vietnam you can expect pay from $25to $30 an hour. You must have a Certificate in teaching English: TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL and a University degree. They offer 1 year contracts.
Teaching in Myanmar English Teachers should have an undergraduate degree (preferably in primary education) and a TEFL (or related) qualification..

In Malaysia schools offer teachers 4000 - 5000RM per month on average and teaching hours are 5 a day max.
Accommodation is sometimes provided by the school. But if it isn’t, you will be shocked by how cheap you can rent a house/apt for. Flights are sometimes paid for, especially if you are going to be a D.O.S. Teaching in Asia you will generally need a degree and a TEFL certification of some kind. You need a degree to apply for a work visa in many Asian countires.Some schools may hire you illegally and you can work on a tourist visa for them, but that choice is you have to make.
Many teachers in Asia are now setting up homes all over Asia with their children, things are alot cheaper and the way of life is slower than the West.
I loved teaching in Asia and will move back there one day. People are friendly and kind, and don’t be surprised if, by the end of your contract, you've made many friends and want to stay another year or three. The food, scenery, and life style is fantastic.
