It employs the Kyrillic alphabet, it has a different structure, but in modern Bulgarian language it is surprising how many words are borrowed from English and French, with slight "modifications". Bulgarians generally like tourists because they bring in money, and help fuel the economy. But they also like to take advantage of people with money and no "Bulgarian experience".
